Recording Ice Breaking - 2010 - High up in the mountians of North Idaho I found a very large water containment pond that had frozen solid. The standing water under had drained away and the top 8 inches of ice had collapsed. (Audio file preview available)
Recording Ice Puddle - 2009 - It had been very cold for a few days and the water froze quick but the mud underneath was still soft. It made for an interesting combination of ice/water/mud cocktail.
