Product Description
The Recordist is proud to present the Galil MAR (Micro Assault Rifle) HD Professional sound effects library. Recorded on a 400 acre ranch in North Idaho with a huge array of microphones and handheld recorders.
Perspectives include: attached, very close, medium and distant. From just a few inches out to 150 meters, this collection offers a wide range of source material. 9 mono and 7 stereo microphones time aligned and level matched provide a “ready to go” set of 24-bit 96k WAV files with detailed Soundminer metadata from this highly compact form of the excellent Galil automatic rifle system. Single and burst variations are included along with mechanical action “foley” sounds. The weapon recorded is authentic, not a replica.
Gun Background:
The Galil MAR (Micro-Assault Rifle) is nothing more than a highly compact form of the excellent Galil automatic rifle system. The MAR was introduced in 1995 and intended for use by special forces operatives who could appreciate a compact, close-in fighting weapon system based on a proven action. Like the Galil rifle before it, the MAR utilizes the widely-accepted 5.56x45mm NATO standard cartridge and fires from a 35-round curved detachable box magazine. The Israeli Galil MAR is similar in scope and function to the Soviet AKS-74U shortened assault rifle and based on the full-size Galil rifle.
