Product Description
Presenting Metal Containment HD Professional Sound Effects Library. As part of my ongoing commitment to providing you with the craziest sounds and the most “metal for your buck” I am merging a few of the HD sound libraries that have been available for the last few years. These collections have been revamped and expanded for the HD Professional line of libraries.
Danger Bear Trap HD has been merged with Cargo Container HD.
I’ve also added and a few more brand new sounds. These include a security fence rattle, a large aluminum garage roll up door from inside an office and alternate perspectives of the original Cargo Container HD recordings. The New HD Pro library is called “Metal Containment” This is a FREE update to previous purchasers.
The additional sounds are from my 24-Bit 96kHz archive and have been carefully mastered to be merged with the original sounds in this collection.
The Cargo Container HD portion contains massive shipping container metal door slams, creaks and groans when opening-closing. This large container had very heavy doors and thick rusty steel to help make the performances deep with character. These sounds are wonderful for designing a special soundscape for that stressed out, sinking cargo or naval ship.
About the “Danger Bear Trap” Container:
Located a few miles from my ranch right on the Pend Oreille river is a place called “The Fish Hatchery”. It is run by the State of Idaho Fish and Game Division. I’m fairly certain by what they call it they hatch fish eggs to place into the lakes and rivers around here.
One day as I was driving by I noticed this ugly green tube contraption built onto a trailer. Upon further inspection I found out it was a large bear trap, Or should I say “DANGER BEAR TRAP”.
I have always loved recording stuff made of metal. Especially doors on containers and unique moving metal objects that slam into another metal object. I used the MKH-416 at one end and the CSS-5 at the other in stereo close to the inside of the tube. I wanted to get the close up slam and latches while also getting the cool hollow sound from the CSS-5. I eventually moved the CSS-5 closer to the front and underneath the tube to get some other types of resonance.

The Danger Bear Trap Recordings
Down my road a few miles located right on the Pend Oreille river is a place called “The Fish Hatchery”. It is run by the State of Idaho Fish and Game Division. I’m fairly certain by what they call it they hatch fish eggs to place into the lakes and rivers around here. I go and record there often during the different seasons. I can get great wave sounds along with flowing water out of pipes, trenches and streams.
