Product Description
Snowman HD Professional contains all new snow material recorded over the last few years. The Snowman was with me, he’s a really cool little guy and he sat on my should while I recorded some unique snow textures. Yes, it’s my delusion. During these sessions I dumped large chucks of snow on the ground with my tractor, watched in fear as the snow slid off my metal roof and slammed giant snowballs on metal objects. I even tossed freezing cold icy snow debris onto vegetation and trees.
Soft and subtle sounds are also included such as powder impacts, slides, crystallized debris sprays, gentle rubs and light debris drops. I hit, kicked and used a pick ax on some tracks that will come in handy for that monster mountain climbing fist fight. Various object slides to simulate tires and bodies on snow are in here. There are also long tracks of snow falling from trees during a moderate wind event. Some other textures include snow on a plywood sheet cracking, sheet metal twists and drops covered with super cold snow and tiny snow crystals moved on a plastic net.
Designing sound for a avalanche scene can be challenging and this collection can really help. These sounds play perfectly at a very low pitch. One or Two octaves down produces stunning results because the material is recorded with extended frequency response microphones. So, jump in, grab the SNOWMAN and don’t let him melt away!
